It Was You, It Was Me
<< 5:41 p.m. - Friday, Jun. 06, 2003 >>
There is this girl who finds herself made up of words. Sentences that have no endings but continue like strings that wrap around the shapes she makes. Every feature made up of letters. Things she might have said to you drip from her mouth. Still she makes no sound. She just stares and stares. She is a goddamn fly on the wall. Forgetting sometimes that she is there at all and not just a pair of very open ears.

Shell tell you that shes changing. Shell tell you that he doesnt matter. She professes to be letting her guard down. But wouldnt you know it? The chain link fences are the same height as before. Shes just let a few more through security forces. Look there, Gina is being searched. Megan is sitting beside this stupid girl and trying to reason with her. But this girl wont be swayed. Because she likes to make pretend shes deeper than she is. My words dont reflect her. She just likes the way they sound.

Did you know she couldnt let you go? Did you notice her eyes so glassy whenever you were near? She wants to go race on the water tomorrow and return to the shore dripping and victorious. Her hair is on fire.
